About
I have been in practice since 2013. I have extensive training in LGBTQ+ affirming care, racial stress and trauma, and trauma healing. I have Mind Body Skills Practitioner Certificate from The Center for Mind Body Medicine. I have worked in a variety of settings such as Community Mental Health, Hospice, University Counseling, Private Practice, and Corporate Education and Training. I strive not only for symptom reduction but also for client’s personal growth and long term healing.
Services
Individual Counseling
Life transitions can be scary and exciting. Although most my experience is with young adults, I’ve sat with clients of all ages navigating trying times or new terrain. In addition to treatment of Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD, I specialize in therapies for healing experiences unique to oppressed populations. I offer services unique to LGBTQ+ individuals and am trained in Race Based Stress Treatment. I am passionate about helping people create meaning, increase self compassion, and heal from past pain that can act as a barrier to creating a rich future.
Supervision
As a Kentucky approved LPCC-Supervisor, I find great passion in assisting the next generation of counselors navigate the ups and downs of the journey toward independent licensure. I offer an affordable rate understanding the importance of making supervision obtainable.
Consulting or Training
I have presented in conferences and corporations on mind body skills, Essentials of Wellness/Stress Reduction and how to create LGBTQ+ inclusive spaces.
